Wednesday 9th August at 6:30pm @ ICS in the School Hall

Each year the faculties of Creative and Performing Arts, Technological and Applied Studies, and English proudly showcase the major works produced by their Year 12 students for the practical component of the HSC.

This year, the event will take place on Wednesday 9th August at 6:30pm in the school hall.

The Major Work or Major Project comprises a significant component of the HSC course in Visual Arts, Drama, Textiles and Design, Information Technology–Multimedia, Design and Technology and English Extension 2.

Students spend their entire Year 12 year designing, managing and executing the project, from concept to final product. At a gala evening of canapés and gallery-style viewing, students, teachers, family and friends will, once again,

pay tribute to a year’s worth of hard work by our HSC students. Interested members from any section of the school community are most welcome to join us for an entertaining evening of fellowship and celebration.

Owing to the formal nature of the proceedings and the delicate nature of the items on display, unfortunately this event will not be suitable for young children - unless they are direct family or close friends of the presenting students.

Any additional queries can be addressed to the school office or Mrs Greaves at

Please keep all students working on Major Works or Projects in your prayers as their deadlines approach. This is an especially stressful time for them as they also struggle to balance preparation for their trial examinations and other final assessments, too.
