A bit about me
I grew up in St Georges Basin which is just a bit south of here, near Nowra. I did an Early childhood degree at Macquarie University and then worked in long day care for a while. I moved to the country about 20 years ago and had a tree change working in a few different Christian schools. I moved back to the South Coast two years ago to work at ICS which I love and to be closer to my three amazing nephews.
My favourite things to do
Some of my favourite things to do are going to the beach and relaxing with a good book. I also love paddle boarding and often paddle board with my dog Holly. Before lockdown I enjoyed travelling the world and have visited many countries in Asia and the South Pacific. I enjoy learning about different cultures and love trying to learn a few words from the different languages.
Why I love teaching Kindergarten
I love teaching Kindergarten because I feel little children give us a whole new way of seeing the world. Teaching them new things and seeing them wonder about the world around them is such a delight. I also enjoy seeing students develop positive habits for learning and helping them to settle into school. In Kindergarten you get to help them establish good routines for the rest of their schooling journey. They also make so much progress in just one year of schooling. I also love teaching such little children about our amazing God and explaining the truths from the Bible in a way that they can understand.

A bit about me
For the past few years, I have been teaching Infants in Sydney and am delighted to be back in the beautiful Illawarra surrounded by the ocean and the mountains.
My husband and I have a gorgeous greyhound who we like to call our gentle giant. We are part of a caring community in a local church.
My favourite things to do
In my free time I enjoy experimenting with watercolours, listening to a good audiobook, and catching up with friends.
Why I love teaching Kindergarten
Teaching, for me, is all about the kids! I love seeing their smiling faces and helping them learn and grow in such a big and exciting time of their lives.
To see Kindergarten children explore the world through their curious eyes, develop foundational skills, and hear the good news about Jesus is incredible.
