Welcoming our new Kindy students for 2021
Over the last fortnight, we have welcomed our 2021 Kindergarten students for a taste of big school.
A mix of trepidation and excitement was the order for the day this week as our second day of Kindergarten orientation sessions took place.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our brave new students faced their sessions without parents in attendance, but they did brilliantly, taking to the Kindergarten classroom like ducks to water.
Of course, for many of next year's Kindy students, they weren't being faced with a totally new environment at all - they've been part of our Prep community for a year or more, which made their transition very smooth, but no less exciting.
Students met our 2021 Kindergarten teachers, Mrs Alison Hick, and new teacher Miss Rachael Nicholson. They enjoyed getting to know their new classroom spaces, as well as getting a feel for what the learning day is like in Kindy.
Well done Kindergarten 2021! We can't wait for you to join big school!
